Apple Pay Now at Star USA!
Apple Pay, the easy, secure, and private way to pay, is now available at Star USA. You may access your checking account with this innovative method of payment at participating merchants.
Use Apple Pay with iPhone 6 to pay in stores without swiping your cards and in apps without entering payment and contact information. Just pay with a single touch of your finger using Touch ID.
With Apple Pay, instead of using your actual debit card, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored. And when you make a purchase, the Device Account Number alongside a transactionspecific dynamic security code is used to process your payment. So your actual debit card numbers are never shared by Apple with merchants or transmitted with payment.
In addition, paying with Apple Pay is private as the cashier never sees your name, card numbers or security code. EMV Chip Cards Coming Soon
In just a few months, you will be receiving new debit cards with an added feature. Your new card will contain an embedded chip that uses secure technology to make it more difficult to copy your account information which provides more security against fraud.
Your new chip card will replace your existing Star USA debit card which will expire 15 days after the receipt of your new card. Please activate your EMV debit card as soon as it is received.
If you have your existing Star USA debit card on file with any merchant that you have authorized to automatically charge your account, you will need to update the new card number, expiration date and CVV code with that business.
Chip cards are being issued to provide additional security and to help keep your accounts safe. If you have questions, please contact a Star USA representative today.
Skip A Pay For Vacation Days!
Summer has finally arrived which means that vacations are in full swing. If you would like to increase your spending power, why not consider Star USA’s Skip-A-Pay program? From July 1 through August 31, 2015, qualified members may skip one payment per qualified loan. Just complete a brief “Skip-A-Pay” application for each loan payment you wish to skip during this vacation season.
To qualify for this program, you must be a member in good standing and all loans must be current. Mortgage loans, home equity loans and VISA loans are not eligible for the Skip-A-Pay program. For each requested loan, there must be at least six months of satisfactory payment history. A $30 loan processing fee is required per requested Skip-A-Pay.

Star USA's 79th Annual Meeting
Star USA’s 79th Annual Meeting was held on Friday, April 24 at the Blessed John XXIII Pastoral Center in Charleston. Chairman Jim Dissen called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m.
Chairman Dissen and President Dan Smithson discussed the work that the credit union has accomplished in the community and presented a financial overview that outlined the strength of this institution.
Elected to terms as Board Members were Ed Allman, David McCormick and Jo Ellen Yeary.
